About Cribl
Observability data-pipeline management platform for collecting, processing, and routing IT and security data across systems. Its latest primary round, a $319M Series E, closed in August 2024 at a $3.5B valuation; by May 2026 annual recurring revenue reached $300M.
Cribl sits between the sources of machine data and the systems that analyze it. Founded in 2017 in San Francisco. The Stream platform intercepts the flow of logs and metrics, strips out noise on the fly, enriches records, masks sensitive fields, and routes each type of data to where it is actually needed. The customer stops paying to store and parse data it does not need, and stops depending on a single analytics vendor such as Splunk or Datadog. The pipeline has since gained the Lake storage layer, Search, the Guard data-protection product and, from July 2026, CardinalOps threat detection. Current valuation is $3.5B on the secondary market (May 2026, $4.50 per share); roughly $725M raised.

Key highlights
- The valuation has stood still since August 2024, while revenue has grown one and a half times. The Series E priced at $3.86 per share at a $3.5B valuation; secondary deals in May 2026 went at $4.50, which gives the same valuation once shares issued since then are counted.
- The company stopped being a single-product business right before a listing. The Stream pipeline has been joined by the Lake storage layer, Search, the Guard data-protection product and, from July 2026, CardinalOps threat detection.
- The artificial-intelligence wave works for the product, not against it. Software agents and language models produce and consume machine data at volumes where the old "send everything to one system and pay by volume" model stops adding up economically.
- The US government market is open. In January 2026 the platform received FedRAMP authorization to work with federal agencies — certification takes years and costs millions, which is why it serves as a barrier to competitors.
- The board is staffed for an offering. In November 2025 it was joined by Chirantan Desai, CEO of MongoDB, and the audit committee is chaired by Mike Coury, who has taken five companies public.
