About Agility Robotics
A spin-off from Oregon State University. Builds Digit, a bipedal humanoid robot for material handling, trailer unloading, and warehouse tasks alongside humans.
Agility Robotics is a US developer of humanoid robots for warehouses and factories, spun out of Oregon State University in 2015 and headquartered in Salem. Its Digit robot picks totes from shelves and conveyors at facilities designed for humans; customers lease it under a monthly fee that covers the hardware, software, and maintenance. Digit v4 is deployed or under contract at nine sites, with customers including GXO, Schaeffler, Amazon, and Toyota; robots are built at the company's own RoboFab factory in Oregon, with capacity for up to 10,000 units a year. In September 2026 the company unveiled the next-generation Digit 5 — a 22.7 kg (50 lb) payload, a 9-minute charge, and more than 20 hours of operation per day; one customer placed an order for 1,000 of these robots worth $300 million. Roughly $500 million has been raised to date. In June 2026 the company signed a merger agreement with Churchill Capital Corp XI, with the S-4 filed in September; 2025 revenue was $1.78 million.

Key highlights
- Fleet transition to Digit 5. The new robot lifts 40% more and runs more than 20 hours a day on a 9-minute charge. Each unit covers nearly a full daily shift, so the same deployment cost yields more revenue per lease.
- Leasing as recurring revenue. Customers pay a monthly fee for the robot, software, and maintenance, so a single deployed Digit generates revenue for years. The 1,000-unit order shows how fast this revenue can scale from just one large customer.
- Lower unit costs at scale. RoboFab is built for 10,000 robots a year, and the company expects component costs to fall several-fold at that volume. A cheaper robot makes every lease more profitable and allows prices to come down for customers.
- Investors who are also customers. Amazon and Schaeffler have invested in the company and already run Digit at their own sites. Both operate large networks of warehouses and factories, so a successful pilot could grow into a full fleet order.
- Expansion into Europe and the UK. Alongside Digit 5, the company announced sales plans for the EU and UK, where warehouses and factories face labor shortages. German investor and customer Schaeffler provides a foothold for the European launch.
- Field data improves the models. More than 65,000 hours of real-world operation feed into training the models that control Digit's movements. Partnerships with NVIDIA and Google DeepMind accelerate this work, letting the robot pick up new tasks faster.
