About Applied Intuition
Developer of software and simulation for autonomous vehicles and machine intelligence, expanding aggressively into defense. In June 2025 the company closed a $600M Series F at a $15B valuation, more than double last year's $6B.
Applied Intuition builds the software foundation for machines that move on their own: the simulation environment where autonomy is trained and validated, and the onboard systems that run it. Founded in July 2017 in Sunnyvale, California. 18 of the world's 20 largest automakers use the company's tools, and since 2025 so do the US military and defense contractors. By the company's estimate, simulation cuts the need for physical testing by up to 99.99%. On top of that have grown Vehicle OS — a platform for a vehicle's entire electronics stack — and a white-label Self-Driving System. Valued at $15B in its Series F (June 2025); roughly $1.2B in primary capital raised.

Key highlights
- The defense segment has entered the contract stage, not the pilot stage. In May 2026 the US Department of War selected the company to build an enterprise autonomy pipeline — the framework infrastructure on which individual services' programs are then built.
- The company has moved from selling tools to selling the vehicle's platform. In four months of 2026 it signed TRATON ONE OS for four truck brands and an expansion with Stellantis onto the STLA Brain platform, where the customer handed over cabin electronics and autonomous driving development entirely.
- The secondary market is paying a premium to the last round. In May 2026 stock traded at $175 per share against $141.56 in the Series F — 28% higher, corresponding to a $19.2B valuation.
- The Series F looks like the last private round. Of the $600M, roughly $400M went to buying out early investors' and employees' stakes — a standard cap-table cleanup before a listing, not a raise for growth.
- The Dana launch opens up selling on top of the entire installed base. Unveiled in July 2026, the agentic platform lets a machine's behavior be described as a task rather than as code, and is sold to the same customers already using the simulation product.
