About Erebor

US digital bank focused on stablecoins and serving startups in crypto, AI, defense, and manufacturing. Founded by Palmer Luckey and Joe Lonsdale with backing from Peter Thiel, the bank raised $350M at a $4.35B valuation in December 2025 after regulatory approval and launched in February 2026.

Erebor — an American bank for technology companies, founded in 2025, headquartered in Columbus, among the founders is Palmer Luckey. It serves industries that traditional banks are reluctant to take on: AI, defense, and the crypto industry. More than 500 companies have become clients, from the public ProCap Financial to reactor developer Valar Atomics; the bank lends against equipment and processes payments in dollars and stablecoins seven days a week. In eight months, deposits reached $7 billion, assets exceeded $8 billion. Since July 2026, negotiations for a Series C of $1.5 billion have been underway, the closing has not been publicly confirmed; a total of $635 million has been raised.
