About Neura Robotics

A full-stack German company: collaborative, mobile, and humanoid robots built on a proprietary AI and sensing stack, with the Neuraverse platform.

NEURA Robotics is a German developer of cognitive robots, founded in 2019 by David Reger in Metzingen. It builds machines that see, hear voice commands, and sense touch: the MAiRA and LARA industrial arms, autonomous carts, and the humanoid 4NE1. All robots connect to the Neuraverse platform, so a skill learned by one robot is picked up by the rest; the company collects training data at its own Neura Gym training facilities and at Bosch and Schaeffler factories. According to the company, its order backlog and contracts in progress exceed $1 billion. In June 2026, the company announced a Series C round of up to $1.4 billion led by Tether, with participation from Amazon, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm, valuing the company at about $7 billion post-money; total funding raised is up to $1.6 billion.

Key highlights

  1. Volume production alongside Schaeffler and Bosch. Schaeffler supplies actuators for 4NE1, and Bosch may take on component supply, motor production, and final assembly. The expertise of two automotive suppliers lowers the robot's cost faster than the company could achieve alone.
  2. Order backlog above $1 billion. According to the company, orders and contracts in progress already exceed $1 billion. As capacity in Metzingen grows, this backlog will convert into revenue, and the fresh Series C funds are earmarked specifically for production.
  3. Neuraverse for other companies' machines. Neura plans to open the platform to makers of cleaning, transport, and other robots. Every connected robot adds data and applications to the platform, while Neura doesn't have to spend on building the machine itself.
  4. Robot training as a service. Maintaining an in-house training facility costs a customer, by Neura's estimate, €2 million a year or more. A Neura Gym facility tailored to a partner's needs replaces that cost, and the recorded data stays with the customer — removing a common objection from industrial clients.
  5. Compact robots for labs and homes. The 4NE1 Mini at €19,999 and the MiPA home assistant open sales to universities, developers, and individual buyers — an additional demand channel alongside long industrial deals.
  6. White-label sales. Kawasaki has been selling Neura cobots under its CL series since 2023. Such agreements provide access to large manufacturers' customers, and Neura can replicate the model with other partners.
